Often, The Hidden Disability

I came across this graphic and it got me thinking...most of the effects of CMT often go unnoticed by non-CMT sufferers. Sometimes, individuals with CMT have outward effects but not always.

Who really sees me struggle fastening buttons or going up stairs or walking in general or struggling to get up out of a sofa or experiencing all the other challenges I and countless others experience each day? I do admit for all the things CMT has taken away, the one thing it has given me is sensitivity to others, especially those with disabilities in whatever form they are, visible or invisible.

Life is so rushed today and people go unnoticed. It's important to notice everyone you encounter and to share an act of kindness because our kindness might be some temporary relief to the visible or invisible challenges the person deals with.
